INTRODUCTION Welcome to the thrilling world of ice climbing! Our one-week Basic Ice Climbing course is your entry into the exciting realm of frozen vertical adventures. Designed for beginners and intermediate climbers alike, this course will equip you with essential skills and knowledge to climb safely and confidently. Starting with safety procedures and hazard awareness, we ensure your security throughout the training. You will learn everything from setting up your harness to mastering basic ice movement techniques using crampons and technical ice axes. As you advance, you’ll delve into top rope belays, climbing communication, steep ice climbing techniques, and more, under the guidance of our experienced instructors. ITINERARY (8 Days) • Day 1: Arrival in Leh, hotel check-in, and rest for acclimatization. • Day 2: Acclimatization Walk around Leh, followed by gear distribution. • Day 3: Knot demonstration, rope management, and anchor building practice at the Gangles ice wall. • Day 4: Basic ice movement practice on the ice wall using crampons and axes. • Day 5: Top rope climbing, belaying, and lowering techniques. • Day 6: Advanced techniques including technical belay, ice screw placement, and anchor construction. • Day 7: Final day of ice climbing, revision, and practice. • Day 8: Departure.
